New member.... Lost already :(
Hello everyone, it took me half hour just to find how to start a new thread! I'm new to anything like this apart from Facebook!......anyway.... I'm shelley, I'm 42 got 3 grown up children and now have a 1 year old and find myself seeing this country as somewhere not to bring up my child. Like most I would love to live in a sunny country..ie... Tenerife... But wouldn't know where to start... Any tips will do thanks

Hi there and welcome to the wonderful world of British Expats.
Don't worry , we were all slow at this lark to start with . It just takes a bit of time to get used to where the knobs and whistles are.
I suppose the first thing is to really consider where you could actually financially survive. Where you could find work and afford to run a home. What type of schooling you wish for your child. All those sorts of boring practical things.
I do understand about yearning for that Mediterranean style weather. I think many UK folk have those thoughts in their heads given their holiday experiences.
A lot will depend on what money you have and what income you can garner.
We do have a Spain forum <click the link. There are lots of expats on there that would and probably will offer their help and opinions. Just be aware that living somewhere is not like a holiday. First question will likely be ' Do you speak Spanish' .
Are you specifically looking towards Europe? Do you have an occupational skill? As in nurse, a trade, profession.
