You don't mention if you are an expat or planning on emigrating anytime soon and where you are located.
We have forums for the majority of countries around the world and many of the most emigrated to countries have subforums dealing with immigration issues. The general forums of those sites will help with your questions about what is like to live there, work there, find the products and lifestyle you desire.
As our lovely spouse of scouse has mentioned a super mod or moderator is always available to help you in navigating the various sites and with any operative questions you might have.
