New to British Expats.com
Hi just new here to the site so dont really know what im doing as yet!!!!
Am living in Sydney, Australia in Kellyville Ridge since May 2011 with my OH and children.
Feeling a bit hemmed in as OH is at work and kids at school, finding it hard to say the least, would welcome any help tips or advice on finding a part-time job and how everyone deals with getting the kids looked after on the holidays especially the summer hols 6 weeks when you dont know a sinner!
What do you do with them?
Here hopeful!

It's my pleasant duty to welcome you to the forum and give you a point of contact should you need any help with the site. You can contact me here.
Have a look in the the main Australia forum here, there's an awful lot to look at including the meet-ups section and the barbie (could better be called the loony bin) but some good fun too.
A list of all the moderators and helpers with their relevant countries can be found here.
Any problems, dont hesitate to PM me.
Enjoy B.E.

I know how you feel because I felt exactly the same way when we first moved to the US...only the summer holidays were 3 months long.
Several of our members live in the Sydney area...maybe you will be able to arrange to meet up with a few of them. We have a great bunch of people who post in our Australia Forums...they will give you tips and advice on life Down Under. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat.
Kelli28 and Alistair Boyle are the concierges for the Australia forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact Kelli or Alistair.
For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20,, Sonlymewalter and Alfresco.
I hope you enjoy your time with us and don't forget to shout out should you require any help.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
