Hi all,

I am new to here.. I would appreciate a reply on some questions. Planning to move to Sicily next year, Near Catania. I had a look at a number of plots of land and will build few houses - as a small complex 4 houses ( as rest of family are keen to move too 70% sure!

I have visited sicily a number of times and loved the place.. I wanted to know from anyone who is living there.. what is their honest view of Catania area, or is Messina better?

I know visiting a place as a tourist you tend not see the downside..

One other question regarding building regulations.. the estate agent / agent dealing with the land sale is saying "yah yah you can build whatever you want on the land".. I wonder if this is true? are there any building /planning regulations. Wouldn't want to buy land and find out you can only build one 100sqm house!!
