Default Moving to Alberta in May

Hello and thanks for a great website; seems like we've been guest readers for ages but only just got around to joining.
We (family of 4) will move to Alberta in May; got the Temp Work Permit application granted, so only need to sort out flights, freight and banking... or have we forgotten something ...?!
Thanks again!

I know it's a bit early but, "Welcome to Alberta"! Alberta's a big place; whereabouts are you headed?

Hi Sue and Mike

Welcome to BE - you must be feeling pretty excited right now .... and a touch nervous too.
I recommend you check out our Canada forum where you can start making friends in Alberta, who can offer lots of tips and advice to help your move go smoothly and let you know all the places to find the things you need.
You can find the forum by clicking the 'forum index' tab on the top left of this page. Scroll down the list of countries, double click on Canada and you're in.
Pop in. say hi and start making friends in your new neighbourhood to be.

All the very best with your move

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hi! And thanks for the early welcome. We're going to move to Coronation, it's around 2 hours' east-ish of Red Deer

You're welcome I haven't ventured to Coronation and, if I'm really honest, I hadn't heard of it although just looked it up on the Net so I'm now enlightened!

I wish you all the best with the move and hope you'll be very happy.
