Hello,
My name is Anita. I am a South African in a relationship with a UK citizen who, due to unforseen and unwanted changes, is looking at returning to England. I have been reading many of the threads on this site and you all are so friendly and willing to give good advice, it has already cleared up some issues in my mind. I wanted to join in the hope of sorting out the information overload I have been experiencing trying to understand all the confusing jargon related to moving to the UK with my boyfriend.
I just know this site is going to be my Life-Line in the coming months!

Thank you not2old for that link, I did download it and have read it. I didn't get much more info though, than what has been already shared by everyone on the Surinder Singh thread. It does help a lot in getting all the steps in order in my head! Much appreciated.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Thank you Rosemary, I have been getting so much good advice from reading the SS thread and also from talking to some through PM.
I feel like I am in good hands on BE, people are very patient and helpful indeed.
