I'm Rob and strongly considering moving from the uk to Melbourne or surrounding areas , iv been told and read it's an excellent place to live with my wife Donna and bring up a young family , thought I'd try here to hopefully meet new people to start my journey, all help and advise would be greatly appreciated. Welcome, Rob. I guess the best place to start is to see whether you qualify for a visa. If it's Melbourne Australia then start at Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection For Melbourne Florida check out the US section of the forum.

As Dorothy says, the very first step in any plan to migrate is to see if you qualify for a visa for that country. Once you've checked the link that Dorothy provided, if you have any visa specific questions you can post them on the relevant page in BE's Australia forum.
