Hi there,

My name is Geraldine and I am 32. My husband, our 2 daughters and I moved to Toulouse at the beginning of August this year. Not in the center but in the North East Part - not far from Blagnac.

Although I am French, my husband is English from Manchester. As mentioned, we have 2 daughters: one who is 5 and one who is 1 1/2. The eldest has just started Maternelles in 'Grande Section'.

I have been away from France for now 11 years .. a long time indeed.. and we have been travelling a lot: London, Brussels and Zurich in the last 4 years.
Now we want to settle.. and always thought to go to France .. my husband has been relocated here for his job.

It is important to me to meet other English speaking mums/family.. for myself but for my daughters too (the eldest is fluent in both language but she will now speak 100% French)...

It would be nice to meet for a coffee morning, play day, day out maybe .. who knows...

If anybody fancy meeting, that would be great,
I drive and don't mind doing so ... but please note that I do not have a car at the moment. We have only one and my husband uses it for work. But should have one in the next couple of weeks.

Jerseygirl will be by in no time with some useful links and helpful contacts. I speak French as well ... but as I'm over in Canada, it's a little far to meet up for a Kaffeeklatsch. Sounds a wonderfully interesting life. Good luck with things back home for you!

We have a couple of excellent France Forums...which I think will be of interest to you. There is also an Introductions Thread...why don't you pop over there take a look around and say hello?

If you have any problems finding your way around the rest of the site Ka Ora is the concierge for the France forums...he will act as your tour guide and help you find your way around BE's many forums.

Any problems or complaints should be addressed to a moderator. Mitzyboy is the moderator for the France forums but if he's not around any mod or admin will be pleased to help you.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, there is also a lot more information in the Europe Forums. Yet another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
