Default Hoping to move to Canada

Hi my name is sweety pie, I am hoping to immigrate to Canada. I would appreciate as much info and help as possible. I have tried going down the root of getting help with this through a company however they ripped myself and my fiance off and owe us a lot of money. We were then told we would be on a federal skills/trades programme. Then told at the end of December 2014 that this has now changed and it will now be an express entry programme we now have to do. We have both done and filled in relevant forms and sent relevant required information, only to be told that we will be in a pool for about 6 months to a year and we might not hear at all. We were told to start applying for jobs straight away, however the replies I seem to get from employers is asking do I have a work permit or a permanent residency before I can be considered to go to Canada. I am now a bit confused as to what I/we should be doing in order to get across to Canada. Any helpful information would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to BE.

I have moved your post into a thread of its own. I see you have reposted your questions in the Canada forum...the people who hang out there will do their best to help you. Good luck with your plans.
