Hi - Just moved to Sydney from the UK
Hi there,
I have just moved with my boyfriend to Sydney (his job brought us here) I would really like to meet other people that have recently come to Sydney or have been here a while to get to know help me settle in etc etc any pointers even would be fantastic.
I am also looking for a job - I am a make up artist so any advise if others are here would be great. i am also a trained marketer and have worked in both areas.

Many of our members live in the Sydney area and they often have 'meet-ups'. BE meet-ups is a great way of meeting fellow Brits.
I recommend you pop over to the Australia Forums and take a look around.
Here is the link for the BE Wiki...there is lots of info about Australia in there. Please take a little time to read through the stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

Welcome to BE. I hope you are enjoying being part of our little expat community.
You will find many members are in the Sydney area so I'm sure if you post in our Australia forum you will get to know everyone and make some new friends along the way.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
