Hi I'm new to this so here goes.
Just a quick note to say hi, Ime Hilary and I live in cumbria with Mark and two dogs. We are planning a trip with them to the Morbihan region of brittany and would love to hear from people who live there or around the south west of Brittany. La Gacilly looks gorgeous very keen to visit there also. I keep reading nasty posts online about stray dogs everywhere and not walking on the beaches in high season and could put myself off coming completely, so would love to hear of first hand experience from ordinary folk who love to walk there dogs off the lead. Cant wait to read replies

Hello and welcome to the forum
Your best bet is to re-post in the France section of the forum. That's where all the France residents hang out. Hope you can find it OK from the main index. If you have any problems, just shout and someone will help you out.

plage autorise et accessibles aux chiens en france
gives a list of beaches in Morbihan where dogs are allowed, and those marked with an asterisk allow them to run free.
You'd have to check the local bye-laws (at the different Mairies) concerning dogs in towns. As a general rule in France, dogs should always be kept on a lead in public places.
As suggested, post again in the France forum - any "doggy" expats in Morbihan will be able to give local info.
