Hello just joined. As a new member I am unable to message. Am keen to communicate with others who live in bg. I read a feed with several people who live near vt. One commented on an English book shop. Does anyone know the address. As its a big city. I am trying to learn the language but it's not easy. Does anyone have advice. I am getting there and can also read a little but it is a slow process. Just want to hear about other people experiences. I know we have had loads good and bad. Looking forward to getting to know some brits in bg.

As the forum is worldwide, could you tell us where bg and vt are, then we can point you to the rightpart of the forum

One did correct oneself. I don't normally do that but had been reading a feed so carried on in that form.

I lived in Bulgaria for many years. The language ic certainly a lot easier than Russian or Polish ! Grammar is much simpler. Many words are similar to words in other European languages (English, French, German)g
In the early stahes I watched a lot of TV as a learning aid. I also read newspapers and found "Trud" to be a valuable learning tool. Mix with Bulgarian-speakers. Avoid "expats". Keep your ears open as you go about your life.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
