Hi, my name is Kate. I've been an expat for most of my life - we moved to Switzerland just after I was born, and I grew up there. I'm now living back in the UK, and not particularly enjoying it, so looking to move abroad at some point soon. Not sure where - there are so many places I'd love to go to. Thinking about Canada on a Working Holiday Visa, and then see where things go from there.

About me.....at the moment I'm a freelance proofreader, but I'm also studying for a TEFL certificate, since it seems that teaching English would give me more opportunities abroad. My real passion is for languages - brought up bilingual in English and German, also speak Spanish, but there are dozens more languages that I would like to learn. I'm hoping that moving abroad would give me the opportunity to do that - what better way to learn a language than to go and live in a country where it is spoken

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
