Hi! I'm new to this forum, actually all forums, so please be kind! :-) I'm a 39 old british expat living in Townsville. My husband is Australian. We have 3 children who hold Australian and British passports. We want to relocate back to uk because I've been diagnosed with a low grade brain tumour. We have looked at spouse visa and know we need to hold 64k pounds fir 6 months. Is there a quicker way due to medical circumstances? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Sorry to hear of your condition. Unfortunately there are few exemptions available for the financial requirements for a spouse visa. Does your husband have any recent European ancestry, a parent or grandparent born in the UK, Ireland or another EU/EEA country?

No, unfortunately not. We are able to meet the financial requirements but have to hold this large amount of cash fir 6 months. We were wondering if there was some sort of compassionate visa which would speed things up?

Australian citizens can enter the UK as visitors without a visa for up to six months. Your husband could accompany you to the UK and then return to Australia to apply for his spouse visa.
