Default Hello there..!!

Hi

I am looking at moving back from Mallorca and moving close to London But not quite in London .. Too much hussle and bussle ..! Can you guys give a recommendation of where is nice .. A little about me!

I am 35 single no kids originally from London before I went on my travels but never really looked outside of it. I am looking for somewhere quietish with a nice town or village that has some life with Countryside lakes rivers seaside an hour a way by train or car would be nice... Iv'e been Canterbury before and I liked that set up but that was over 10 years ago I'll have to have a look again..

Can you guys give me a run down of places you have visited or live in or have lived in, and have have a recommendation for me to look into in..

Kent
Sussex
Essex
Surrey

outskirts of London within 1.5 hours train

This would help me a lot

Thanks a lot in advance

Andy

All of the counties you mention have good town and villages , most with a train commute to London.

I lived in Guildford Surrey and found it a lovely area.

Then I lived in Finchamstead in Berkshire - liked that too.

Oooh that's 5 mins from me! Sorry, bit off topic.

OP - I've no experience of any of those counties, if you need advice on Bucks or Berks though then do shout! Your requirement is a bit vague, have you got anything else that could narrow it down a bit i.e. a housing budget, whether you want to be on the Tube or just a mainline train, any specific amenities etc?

And probably best to ask this in the MBTTUK forum where you might get more responses from those in the UK, best of luck with it.
