Hello - Moving to Aus
Hi
Thought it would be nice to introduce myself. Myself, OH and two young children are hoping at some point in the future to move to Oz. My OH had an interview before Christmas and the company have flown him out there this week to meet colleagues, have a look around etc, he is due back in the UK Saturday afternoon so keeping fingers crossed he may be succesful. I've joined so seek advice on visa options. Ive researched the temp 457 visa and the advantages/disadvantages but would welcome advice on whether or not a company can sponsor us on a permanent visa, the timescales, advantages etc, so I guess I'll be using the immigration forum a lot. Anyway looking forward to many conversations, help and advice with everyone.

I see you have already found the Australia forum, you will get plenty of good advice there and there are also the BE Wiki pages which you can access from the blue bar at the top of the hone page.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Great thanks Rosemary, assume I will be using the site a lot over the coming months as OH just confirmed that he has secured the job in Oz, yipeeeeee the start of a new chapter.
