Going to Sydney on a WHV with aim to gain a 457?
Hello there, we are pretty new to this forum and have just started researching into a move to Sydney.
My partner is considering moving to Sydney on a WHV with a aim to gain a 457 visa, he is a Commercial Land Developer, just been made redundant with very few opportunities in our area of Dorset!
Any advice or success stories out there would be great to hear about?
We have two boys ages 2 and 4. Had a very quick look at areas such as Forestville, Belrose and French Forest? Our boys are in Private school so education is important to us and them and sports look fab over in OZ.
Thank you ;-)

Well he could go on a WHV- but you wouldn't be able to do the same with children in tow. The WHV is really for young singletons with no dependents wishing to explore the country for a year (or two).
If you all plan to go together you need to check if yours or his occupation is on the skills list first of all www.gov.au/skills/skillselect
