Gay couple considering moving to Cadiz / Santi Petri / Chiclana
Hi guys,
We are are hoping to move to Spain in the future, maybe 5 years from now. We really like Cadiz as a city and like the town of Chiclana de la Frontera and the beach of La Barossa.
Whilst it's lovely to visit on holiday I would love to hear from people what it's like to live there.
What area's are the best to live in? What area would be accessible to the areas mentioned above. We don't mind being more in land if need be. Whilst we both drive, we would like to be reasonably well connected by public transport. Trains? Trams? Or even a simple bus route. So any transport info would be great.
We would like to have some socialising options not just within the gay community but in the wider expat and Spanish communities. Although it would be nice to know if there are any gay groups, organisations or social meet-up groups that would help us settle in and make new friends. We travel in a campervan and are very flexible where we go so if you have any recommendations please let us know.
I've recently begun to learn Spanish so I hope to be competent (get by) by the time I get there.
