Hello.

I am looking for advise on Fiscal Representation for my property in the Algarve..

Firstly is it a requirement as the only reason i can see is that they have the IMI property tax sent directly to them and they calculate the rental income for a large fee.
After speaking with a local accountant - he can offer tax returns for a fraction of the price.

is there anything stopping me from redirecting the IMI to my address and paying myself and to not have a Fiscal Rep?

I appreciate any advise on this .
