Decisions Decisions
Hi everyone,
Having toyed with the idea of making the big move several times, a real opportunity has presented itself which may mean making a decision and acting upon it really quickly.
The company I work for has an internal vacancy in Sydney doing the job I do in London. If I want to move forward with this, I have to have decided by Monday.
The move will involve my partner as well although he may come a little after me if I have to move quickly as we have a lot of stuff in the uk to sort out.
We've started looking at areas to live but having never visited Sydney, we have little to go on. We are thinking Central Coast and I would like to keep the commute into the city to about an hour if possible. Where would this timescale take us to?
Any areas to avoid?
Have been warned that cars and utilities are expensive - how much on average monthly for utilities?
I have tried to check income deductions for tax but the website requires info I don't yet have. Can anyone give me a rough %?
Have a whole load of web research planned for the weekend!
Many thanks all!

Re: Decisions Decisions
Just want to say hello and welcome to BE!
I can't help with your specific questions as I am usually based slightly to the east of Australia... so I'll direct you to the Australia forum, here:http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=54
You may find some of your questions have already been answered, if not then ask away, someone should be able to help
