Hi Mary

I see you have already found your way to our Middle East forum, where I am sure one of the expats already resident in Abu Dhabi will be able to give you a contact list of schools.
I know there are some very good English schools there as my cousin and his family lived there for 3 years and his two kids went to an English school - the school was of excellent standard, as when they returned to the UK both his kids were advanced by 2 years in several subjects, especially English, Science and maths.

That just leaves me to say welcome to BE and I wish you all the very best for your move to UAE.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Earlier this year Abu Dhabi Week compiled a pretty comprehensive guide to schools in the capital, including all the foreign-curriculum schools (which of course includes all the British National Curriculum schools plus iGCSE and IB schools). It's online at http://www.abudhabiweek.ae/guides
