British husband to move to the US
Hello,
I'm Cheryl and I married my British husband last May, 2017. We've been together for 7 years and finally got married here in Northern California. For the longest time, I wanted to move to the UK to be with him. I'm currently living and working in Northern California and he is living and working in the UK. We've both decided to live here together and have no idea what it will take, financially or time wise, for him to move here to live with me. I spent a lot of time researching how to get a UK Spousal Visa for myself and I know how much all the fees are to obtain that. However, I have no clue what it will take for my husband to live here. If I could be directed to the proper forum to discuss Visa issues and costs, I would so appreciate it!
Thank You!

Re: British husband to move to the US
Either he is working and has a salary above a certain level
or you have savings of £62.000.
I cannot recollect the salary level required but it should be easy to check here.

Hi Cheryl
Scott47 has misread your post and has given you partial information on the UK spousal visa while you are looking for US immediate relative visa. Only problem is that it is not immediate.
Anyway, welcome to BE and thank you for stopping in at the Welcome Inn to introduce yourself.
The forum that you need is the USA forum and I suggest that you start here at the US marriage-based visa forum for answers to your question on how to get your husband the proper visa to live and work in the US. Marriage Based Visas - British Expats
After a read of the site rules Site Rules | British Expatriate Community please drop in and our members will be happy to help you navigate the visa path to bring your husband to the US>

Re: British husband to move to the US
I misread your rather convoluted statement. Sorry.

Re: British husband to move to the US
Hi Cher,
A large majority of us here on the US forum came to the US as a spouse of a USC. Come on over to the thread Rete mentioned and we can steer you in the right direction.
The short answer is - your husband will need a CR1 immigrant visa. When he has that, he will become a Permanent Resident ('Green Card' holder) when he enters the US with his approved CR1 visa.
