Arriving in the Algarve
Hallo, My name in Robin and I'm in the process of buying a small plot of land with ruins near Odeceixe with plenty to keep me busy...
I am 45 ,as is my wife Cate, and we figure it's now or never to rebuild the taipa house or get squashed trying!
We are renting in Maria Vinegre , and my first question to you all is whether there are recommendable portuguese teachers in the Aljezur or Odeceixe area..? I've been led to believe that the days of council provided portuguese lessons may now be over but I'm also realising that a lot of advice we're receiving is countered out by the very next bit!
Any good leads would be very much appreciated
Boa noite

Thank you BEVS
I'm sure this site will be a mine of great info for us.
I can see how they become great fishermen around here! There are huge Atlantic waves to battle.
Regards

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
