Default Applying for change of use on land

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know the procedure for applying for a change of use from agricultural land to leisure land?
My husband and I were hoping to start an eco wild camping site on our land, just 6 pitches. Unfortunately we have been told by the local Marie's office that on agricultural land only farmers are allowed to do this! Also that we have to be in continuation of the hamlet, unfortunately there are 2 fields between our property and the hamlet!
My sister was talking to someone who had the same issue but managed to have their land converted to leisure land.
If anyone has any thoughts or information on how to achieve this I would be very grateful.
Kind regards
Sarah

Welcome to BE.

This forum is really for people just to introduce themselves so you would be better off posting your question in the France forum, as I assume you are talking about French rules etc. There are plenty of nice people there whwo should be able to give you some insight into your problem

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
As suggested, come onto the France forum to ask for advice. My first reaction is that, if the Mairie says no, then it's no, whatever "someone" managed to obtain. And even if the Mairie changes its mind, you'll have a lot of rules and regulations to comply with!
