American says 'howdy'
I'm a New Yawka from Lawn Guyland, a native-born Merican citizen. Is it okay to hang out here with British expats? Many of you are quite entertaining.
I will be moving cross-country to the west to flee this overpriced patronage pit for more sunshine and a lower COL. An online search about long distance moves landed me to these shores.

Welcome!
We can't get shifted for Americans around here so you'll be fine. We even have a member called Another Bloody Yank, although he hasn't been around in a while.
Whereabouts are you headed?

Thanks for the welcome, Sally. I've been to the UK four times, so not a clueless git about British customs and such. Perhaps your other token Yank was scared off. I do look forward to being insulted here, dryly of course.
