Purified protein derivative = PPD = skin test for tuberculosis.

(Other, out-of-date tests in the Yanks eyes include the HEAF test and the Mantoux test).

well 2.5 hours after the first test, and it looks like a slight red spot. But now I have a headache. I'm sure its psychosematic!

Chocolate helps!

Hope that the headache goes away very soon. The spot is usually checked 48 hrs after the injection...it takes a little time for the reaction to appear, if there is a reaction.

I had to get a tb skin test for work...turned out positive (huge bump), had to get chest x-ray done, luckily they could compare the embassy x-ray to it, all ok, just given meds for 9 months to take (which I got 2 years after the test lol)

Probably majority of brits have inactive tb, I know my gramps did (which I found out after i tested positive for it etc).
