I was talking to my fellow Mancunian (manc'76) on the PM and I found out both of us lived in Manchester and Liverpool.
So this got me to thinking...

Had a very good friend for some years who lived in southern Lake District. I used to visit him in his hometown of Flookburgh that has no station (or bank or supermarket) so I had to get off at Cark in Cartmel (great name, don't you think?) and walk or get a lift to the village.
He worked in Barrow in Furness though I never went there. What brought you to Barrow? Work?
