I have found with my vpn that disconnection and reconnecting gets me in, sometimes it takes a few attempts.
Also you might want to run an app something like CCcleaner after a failed attempt. Also with channel 4 it works better if you set your computer to UK time, I had a couple of shows that only worked if I set to GMT.
Channel 4 has some excellent foreign language shows(with sub titles), "Walter Presents"

... Little wonder you're blocked if you're accessing the dometic service - AND you'll be confused too - hearing all about record inward investment and golden future post-Brexit. That's reserved for the mushrooms.

The BBC, the UK's "leading broadcaster", by virtue of it's State sanctioned & enforced funding promotes Britain's new role as "global leader" - by further restricting international sevices.

I used Hotspot shield and every few months the Beeb would suss out the IP's and I'd let Hotspot know (along with some others) and they'd change the IP's and off we'd go again. They have a lifetime one off fee offer, I'd check their commitment to BBC IP's first but would consider signing up for it as it's useful for many things. I just tried a free plug in whilst in Holland last week for Chrome browser - worked a treat. A quick search will find you some options. Good luck.

... This is what the BBC are up to...
BBC launches staff pay review to quell anger over gender gap | Reuters

... Note the 'staff anger' in the headline..... Isn't it nice to see the people who pay their wages (the dummy Licence-Fee-Payers) are considered...?
BUT
For real insult to injury, you might want to follow HMRC's criminal investigation over tax evasion that's going on, regarding top-presenters who were paid via dummy companies to avoid NI and pay a much lower rate of corporation tax.
... Will any of the Luvvies go to gaol? ha-bloody-ha!!
.... Sorry, I have this buzzing inside my head.... something about being factual and neutral.....

...and breaches copyright - and could well be illegal!

Britbox.com, has apps for Apple TV and Roku (and can be subscribed to through Fire TV). Limited BBC & ITV programming, LEGAL, $6.99/month.

You decide.

I have had it 5 years. Lord sugar and Piers Morgan were recommending it. If it was illegal or a del boy type service, you'd think it would have been shut down a long time ago.

I use the UKTV app on my Roku. Costs $1.99 a month and I get unlimited access to all British channels. It's a steal!
