USC and UK hubby plumber jobs in Texas
Hi my husband and i are in the process of heading to USA I am a USC he is a UK citizen we are thinking of relocating to houston as I lived in Pasadena years ago , my husband is working currently in the Uk offshore oil and gas industry as a Instrument Pipe fitter he is a Fully uk Qualified Plumber with 10+ years in commercial and domestic plumbing my question is in Texas how would he get his plumbing qualification recognized in Texas and would he be better trying for an offshore job as an Instrument pipe fitter as that is what he is currently working as or as a plumber , ANY info or advice on job hunting, areas to live etc etc would be VERY Appreciated Thank you

I think either would work, but oil and gas is booming in the US at the moment, so that might be easiest for a few years, which would give him the time to explore how to get a plumbers license in the US (BTW trade licenses are issued at the state level).

Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners Range from starting from scratch, taking exams, doing an apprentice year or anything in between, so start reading that I'd guess.
