US health care is great if you are rolling in dough and dont plan on getting sick or injured otherwise it's shite.

NHS wins on simplicity alone, you never have to give healthcare much thought over there.

If you get sick in the US - the US health system is the best.

If you get sick in the UK - the UK system is the best.

Agreed, but I claim poetic license - the juxtaposition of "service" and "system" has a nice symmetry to it and just sounds better ...

[ ... you know - the way "The Patriot Act" sounds better than "The US Domestic Surveillance Act" ... ]

Having experienced both, the NHS is definitely missing out on the service aspect. Well save it is piss poor service.

Might want to be more specific here. Never know what gender (or gender-acquired) you might get that fits your description

You already think that the US health care system is substandard, run by crooks and incompetents... so, since you already know what you think, what purpose is served by asking others what they think? It's not like you're ever going to change your mind, right?

This entire thread is a complete waste of time.

Ian

USA Life expectancy = 78.3
UK Life expectancy = 79.4

...although it's probably more due to the hideous diet (genetically modified everything, protein and more protein, anyone?) in USA than healthcare.

The problem is not the actual health CARE - that's world class when you can get it. The problem is dealing with health INSURANCE.

They've got a fountain in our new hospital's lobby here.
Why do you need a fountain in a hospital lobby???
