Driving in the Uk
My daughter has passed her driving test and now has her Texas license, when she goes to the UK for a holiday can she drive in the UK on her Texas license? If so are there any restrictions?

How old is she?
Most rental companies under 21...no. Between 21 and 25...extra surcharge I believe.

Re: Driving in the Uk
Not only are there the rules of the rental company to follow, is it really a good idea for an inexperienced driver to drive in another country, especially one where manual cars are the norm (and she likely drives an automatic here) and they drive on the other side of the road than she is used to. Road layouts and signage are all different. Even if she drove in the U.K. before you moved, at 18 she can't have had that much experience of driving a manual and on the left.
I drove for over 20 years in the U.K. before I moved here almost 10 months ago. The thought of driving in the U.K. scares me. I know I'd end up on the wrong side of the road or going round a roundabout the wrong way.
