studying igcses online whilst attending US public school
I am considering home-schooling or engaging a private tutor to help my son study for igcses whilst attending public school in USA as British International School seems limited sport-wise?
Any views/guidance on resouces or feedback on this idea?

How old is your son?
Why do you think he needs igcse?
So he wouldn't be going to school at all? That's going to be really tough on him, how will he make friends? Socialise? There are plenty of sports activities going on outside school as well. My son did enough sport at school to get his PE credit and he rows for 2 hours a day on top. Plenty of his fellow students do similar stuff.

As PF said, there are lots of opportunities to participate in sports outside of school, and under the circumstances that you appear to be describing I would look at schools only for academic matters, and then "bolt on" sports participation at outside clubs.

[QUOTE=Pulaski;12214535]What do you think ".... whilst attending public school in US ...." means? [/QUO
oh yeah.
poor lad. What about all his normal homework? Why can't he just do AP or IB like everyone else? I take it he will be here in the USA for only a bit then? I'd stick him in the International school and find a sports team

Thanks all. He will definitely go to school - the question is if he could attend the Public School and not the International and sustain studies for igcses. the visit is only for 3 years. He is 13 so I believe he will go into Y9.
He LOVES his sport - thus the Q.
