RBOB (refinery price at the port of New York) today was $2.55 a gallon which is about 20 cents per gallon lower than it was several months ago when gas prices hit it bottom.

However Brent crude is still stubbornly high at about $105 per barrel and any price drop at the pump will be temporary until Brent gets more in line with the price of WTI crude.

I was surprised too. Only $3.20 at the airport gas stations where it is usually 10c or so higher.

As of 9/24/11 Hess is selling regular at $3.89 a gallon. Just filled the Sonata after 2-1/2 weeks for the total of $45.69.

Just came back from, Sunny Isles, Miami, reg @ one place still $3.99. We say its a tourist, take it or leave deal. Such a rip off.
