Re: Price of gas update...
It was up to $1.79 on the way in to work Mon morning, and was down to $1.59 on the way home. Glad I waited til after work!
But seriously, I'll never understand how it can flucuate $.20 or more in a day.

Re: Price of gas update...
$1.69 here. We pay more than the Central valley 'cause they have to truck it up the hill, then how come I can follow the truck over to Nevada and pay less
It's all a rip.

Re: Price of gas update...
California is the only state that cannot import gas from another state due to the fact that California must use the reformulated CaRFG3 gasoline. Normally when a refinery fire occurs in a state, most other states import gas from another state which only adds about 1-2 cents per gallon to the gas but in the case of California the price sky rockets until the refinery can get back on line.

Re: Price of gas update...
California has refomulated gas that cost about 10-15 cent per gallon more as well as higher gas taxes than most other states. The two together adds about 30 cents per gallon over most other states.
