Now that winter has arrived it's the price of heating oil I'm feeling happy about. $1.79 a gallon today Please let it stay low till next April. I spent $2750 on heating oil last year.

Yes, but I wonder how many people will be able to afford to fly this year.

I don't know, I got VERY few, almost no queries about Thanksgiving flights, but Christmas/New Year's more active.

I tried to get DH to do a Xmas trip to England (we went to my mom's in FL last year), but he said he didn't want to go in the winter (and he wanted to be home at Xmas). So it's going to be June, then his 4 sisters are coming here in Oct., '09!

Took the rental car back to CVG airport today, unleaded was $1.559 just off I-275.

Still $1.699 in town back home though.

Well, it's 12 degrees F here this fine Sunday morning....fire's already on....but gas is down again $1.37 10 min away, $1.49 on the corner. Heating oil and natural gas prices are sliding down also which is good timing for us that experience cold winters.

It's good for people not to have to pay as much, but it's a sign that the economy sucks. I guess Friday crude prices were at an all time low.

"Crude oil prices may crash below $25 a barrel next year and gas prices could fall below $1 a gallon if the global recession spreads to China, an energy analyst and CEO said Thursday."

Scary isn't it....all of these countries that base their economy solely on one thing. But who would have guessed? Russia and Argentina (I think that's the right S. American country) are having major economic problems now too. Just what we need ... the likes of Iran and Russia getting desperate.

Just for comparison, it's running at about $5.19 per (US) gallon in UK right now. I'm glad to be an American

I wonder if that is the same analyst who predicted not so long ago oil would be $200 a barrel by this Christmas.

I heard that on the radio yesterday, with the additional info that the last time it was at that price was November 02. The DH has been swearing we'll never see gas at the price it was when he moved here... in Nov 02!
I could go for some sweet justice.
