You know what $2.18 for 20gal works out as, right? ..... I posted a picture of the pump somewhere on BE, but I can't find it now.

Just my two cents, but I find the price of petrol in the US is stupidly cheap regardless of the price its at. What I dislike, however, is that cars sold do not achieve anywhere near the mpg of cars available in Europe.

Minor pain in the arse, that's all.

You know you're allowed to say 'bloody' on the internet, right?

I presume you take into account that US gallons are smaller than 'proper' ( ) gallons which means that mpg appears relatively lower, obviously bigger motors drink more than tiddly Japanese wonders.

Gas is down to $2.299 today, apparently there are worries that OPEC isn't reducing supply....yay

I do, but then I don't work out my mpg in US gallons, I (or rather, my car) work(s) it out in UK gallons.

The bulk store a town over was $2.23G this morning. About 20c cheaper than everyone else.

Cumbies, with their 10c discount card is @2.33G and that's the cheapest in town.

Back down to $2.089 by yesterday evening.

From what I was reading in the news yesterday, the price of oil is on the skids again and gas below $2.00 will be here again soon.

That does not explain the difference and, of course, you have to compare apples with apples.

Maybe for you ...

It inexplicably jumped up by 30c overnight down our way. Usually I'd be annoyed but $2.30 is still a half decent price so I'll take it for now.
