20 cent increase on Monday evening/Tuesday morning means that I'm looking a $2.399 when I gas up later this week. Looks like Faux news was spot on.

Back up to $2.149 yesterday evening, which is the fourth or fifth time this year it has gone up to that price.

The price spiked to $2.249 a couple of weeks ago, but was back down to $2.139 by last Thursday. Given the price of oil I am expecting a further decline this week.

That'd be nice. Ours went up to $2.399 about the same time as yours spiked and has dropped in the last few days... to $2.379 at my 'local' but I fuelled up at the Racetrac down the road for a penny less than that on Friday.
SR70 gas stations up to three miles West of I75 have, in the past, usually price matched each other fairly quickly with both hikes and falls but these past few weeks there has been quite a disparity with prices fluctuating daily at several of them from anywhere between $2.369 and $2.469.

I stopped in to get gas this evening - the price on the sign by the road was still $2.139. .... But the price at the pump $2.129.

It's been sitting within 1.32 to 1.35 per liter (CAD$) for the last week or so.

About 3.67 USD per gal at 1.32 liter CAD$

$2.729 per gallon here (no refineries nearby, no competition). Since I buy gas at 8 or 9 gallons per fill up I am not very much price sensitive.
Will not wait in line for 30 seconds to save 3 cents per gallon.

"Wait"? I can't remember the last time I had to wait. maybe three or four years ago.

Once or twice a year I might have to drive around the pumps and come in from the other side because all the pumps on the side of the gas tank are in use.

Remember, you live in a state where you are allowed to pump your own gas

I remember long-ish waits at the UK (self serve) garages though. Made worse by not having pay-at-the-pump so you had to sit there while the guy in front of you went in to pay for his petrol, have a look at the porn mags and maybe buy a packet of fags while he was at it ...

That's the only thing I can think of that would generate the lines. I've never had to wait for a pump at a garage round my way.

Ended up getting gas for about $1.60 with my shell rewards. T-mobile frequently run deals with them to get a lot off the gallon.
