They can't make up their mind here, goes up and down between 1.11 to 1.15 sometimes several times during the day, gas companies make no sense sometimes, seems to be a pain to constantly change the stupid sign outside....



I filled up last week with premium as I didn't want to fuss with finding another station and the one I was at was out of regular. Chevron so no ethanol in the premium like the low and mid range do, and our average fuel consumption for that tank was 7.2 liters per 100/km, where we normally average 7.9 to 8.2 liters per 100/km.

Coincidence or does non ethanol added gas just do better?

Fuel with Ethanol added does get a lower return on mileage. (And rots out rubbers in fuel systems of older vehicles!!)

Yeah, fuel economy by our Accord dropped by about 2mpg as the percentage of ethanol was increased to ten percent about 7 years ago.
