Re: Price of gas update...
We took a trip into SW Wisconsin on Saturday, I filled up in town at $2.95 but saw it as low as $2.59 just outside of Madison. We could have easily made it up there with what I had in the tank. Bollocks

I paid $2.329 last Sunday in the next town over, down 7c from a week earlier. ..... Actually I paid 9c less than that ($2.239) with my BP loyalty discount.
Gasbuddy says it's already down to $2.299 this week.

The price of diesel is strange. Where I live gas is 30c cheaper than where I work, but diesel is pretty much the same within a cent or two. In fact it's about the same as what you're paying. I assume this is something to do with diesel being taxed differently to gas.

We don't have a diesel though, not sure one work like all the short 5-10 min drives we do...

Currently at around $4.10 around San Diego.
If I see Regular advertised with a '3' in the first digit, it brightens my day.
Apart from Shell, who had (with Wash) in the small print.

Mrs P paid $2.279 for BP yesterday in the next town over, down 5c in the five days since last Sunday. The price appears to be in free fall round here at the moment, falling almost 1c per day over the last month - 26c between June 28 and July 31.
