Price comparison sites

Hi Guys,

i dont know if there is a good thread on this - i had a quick look, but didn't find one.

Anyway, i was hoping to start a thread on US websites. In the UK, sites like travelsupermarket.com, moneysavingexpert.com, kelkoo.com, elephant.co.uk etc... are really useful. But i cant seem to find many in the states!

So, does anyone know: A good price comparison site for car hire, health insurance, to buy stuff... and a good site like moneysavingexpert!

Any helpw ould be grand! i've just got to Boston and am looking at buying lots of stuff for my new house but i dont want to get ripped off.

Buy stuff is rather general epinions.com pricegrabber.com are two examples great for electronics (pretty much anything with a battery or plug)
Car hire I have a perks at work site, but no longer use them as my Amex card beats all sites for car hire.

If you want to mention specifics I can help, have come pretty good at finding deals over here.

I think I recall www.kayak.com being mentioned for travel stuff, although I've not used it.

I often use www.froogle.com for price comparisons when buying stuff.

Wow! thanks for that guys.

Anyone know any good online grocery delivery services for the Boston area? I would have thought walmart would do it - but no.

In fact, i am noticing a real 'behind the times' sensation being in the states - it surprises me that the things i had taken for granted in the UK (supermarkets at every corner, online delivery for nearly everything, cheap mobile phones & mobile internet etc) would be plentiful in the US. but it just isn't so.

Anyway... enough of that me thinks....

online grocery recommendation.... go go go!
