Thanks for sharing a scenario which can occur. I'm very sorry to hear what you went through.

One of the reasons we're planning to relocate to the US is that my wife's family (mum, dad and sister) live out there and she misses their support and missed it a lot when having our 1st child. So the hope is that any stress about moving/starting a new life would be balanced out by their support.
