Even on $200k, 46% tax and deductions seems high, even if you include health insurance and 401k/pension contributions. By the time you have deducted allowances I think you'd be netting about $10k/mth, after health insurance and $401k.

Nope, think you need to use a calc and then look at the budget above...

To be honest guys, the after "what you could have won" doesn't help.
Most people in my initial posts were full of negativity on my approach to questions on suggestions to moving to the US and than that side was way from rosier. Well now Ive made the unreversable call not to come over. Please don't rub it in with after analysis...you had your chance before...
For all those who gave advice I appreciate it, I really do. Ive made the decision, I can't reverse it now, someone else will benefit from it somehow I'm sure.
I'll never know if the move would have been good or not... so let consider the whole thing closed..
