Hi guys

I am trying to apply for my wife's visa to come here to the UK but we need her old passport info.

We cant find it anywhere, she got her first passport in Feb 2017, lost it here in the UK and had to get an emergency one.

We have the emergency passport details but cannot find her original passport details anywhere and it can apparently take up to 12 weeks to get the info!!

Is there a way to quickly find out her first passport details at all because she is now panicking and breaking down at the thought of potentially having to wait 6 months to be with me

I'm willing to bet that the emergency passport is linked to the original. I suggest you use the details from the emergency passport and see what happens. There is, effectively, nothing to lose at this point in time by doing that. Meantime, she should get a new passport.


Next time, make sure she takes a photocopy of the detail page.
