I cannot bring my parents to the USA, even for a 2 week holiday. No insurance company in the UK will insure my father. He has prostate cancer, and had an arrhythmic heart condition 3 years ago. For my wedding last year, Saga insured my grandfather for approx. 5 days, who is 93 years old and has a history of angina (for a long time until present), as well as a triple heart bypass (5 years ago).

Total cost (from memory, I stated it in a post a while back):

2000-3000 GBP

Possible, but will cost you through the roof. My dad 'negotiated' and basically was willing to go pretty high (well, my grandfather paid, but he at 93 doesn't give a t*ss about money now).

Yes, staying in the UK and visiting for less than 6 months per year would be a safe way to go. Once they retire, they stand a good chance of getting B2 visas...or they could make a couple of VWP visits, spaced out throughout the year.

As visitors, they shouldn't be in the USA for more than 6 months in a calendar year, because they become liable for US taxes.
