Miami overnight stay

Miami overnight stay
Hi,
I could do with some suggestions please. In March, we are flying into Miami, arriving about 5pm and the next day we head to Key West. We want to stay somewhere 30 - 60 mins drive from the airport for an overnight stay. I've looked at Miami Beach but think it would make more sense to head south. We don't want to stay at an airport hotel. Thanks in advance
