Effective July 1st, 2001, there will no longer be a need for interviews for K1 visa process in Manila, Phil. They have a new system this time wherein the applicant will just mail all his/her papers or requirements to the manila embasssy and wait for the result whether approved or not. For more info, call the embassy 24 hours hotline now! YAHOO! :-))))))

I just visited the Manila Embassy homepage and there is nothing on it about not
having an interview. Since my fiance will be going through it very soon I hope I
would like to know what takes place now there.
Thanks

Hi All,
My fiancee just sent the Packet #3 information back to the Embassy, in Manila, last
week. Will we be using the new system? My other question is will St. Lukes' be
telling us whether we need an interview or will we have to wait for the embassy to
tell us. I am planning on flying to PI on July 16 and returning on the 30th. Is this
enough time to get the medical done and to RECEIVE the visa?

What Jfortner wrote is correct!
If you wan't to confirm, call the embassy then.
Rick, if i were you, come back to PI when and only when your lady has finished the medical. With that, it's closer already to the last step of the processng hence you could assure yourself that the no. of days staying in the PI, would equal to more or less with the waiting period after the medical is completed. Take note, Delbros delivers the visa within 3 days if Metro Manila and if outside MM, it would more than 3 days.
We just don't know the timeline, St. Lukes to Embassy.
