But as above, what visa are you moving on? A lot won't allow you to open up your own business or work in a yard, so you might need to clarify.

Good luck with it.

Most horsey people I've met in the US talk about "the barn" where we would talk about "the stables." I live adjacent to a multi-million dollar barn -- I describe it as Canyon Ranch for horses -- with pastures, indoor school, jumping courses, and adjacent to hacking trails. They do boarding and training -- at great expense, I have no doubt! However, I haven't heard of any such establishment putting on competitions, as mentioned by the OP. It seems it would take a massive investment to start such a venture, though that would indeed probably be dependent upon the part of the country. Around here keeping a horse is an expensive proposition, so the folks who can afford to do so want a very upscale barn.

Didn't we have a horsey type discussion with a very aloof young 'lady' recently?

I don't even know where my nearest horse track is. I'm not sure horse racing is very popular in my part of the world.

Nobody said anything (on this thread) about horse racing in the US, except you.

PS appreciated the photo of a Colorado yard in your link.

PPS I would expect EB5 would be the obvious option in this sort of case. Non regional.

I was in FL, not a farrier to be had for love nor money.

Facility Overview | Portland Meadows

Seems fairly close based on the city in your profile.
