But that's the beauty of being a fella, If I balls it up I can just do the whole barnet Jason Statham style and have a laugh about it in the office the next day .

Re: Haircut/barbers
The price of haircuts in the US seems very low, almost embarrassingly so. The woman who cuts my hair charges $12, which is what I was charged 12 years ago when I first moved to NC. I used to tip her $3, then $4, then for a couple of years I just gave her a $20 bill.
Now Mrs P and I go at the same time and Mrs P pays the whole bill, with a total tip of somewhere around $12-$15, depending on what mysterious processes and weird potions Mrs P subjects her hair to.

When I paid more for a fancy cut at the salon, I had to go back every five weeks. Now I get a number two buzz cut for less money, and it lasts more like eight or ten weeks... My wife's started getting a buzz cut too.

I'm not going to lie, I have twice put a smaller guard on than I thought I had (don't recall whether I was under the influence... well yes, it was rather likely) and shocked myself with the amount of hair I'd taken off.

Back and sides with a 2, top with a 4. I refuse to pay someone to run over my head with clippers so the wife does it!

Re: Haircut/barbers
What are these numbers in reference to? I have never told a barber or hair dresser a number nor have they ever asked for one.
We pay 30-40 dollars for a basic mens cut around here, no chains so the prices are higher then you would find in the city where a men's cut is around 15-20 dollars.
If you want a shampoo its extra, and only proper barbers do shaves but proper barbers are hard to find, dying profession they are.
Women's cuts vary but range for a basic in the 30-50 dollar range, more for a style.

I saw Deep Purple at Knebworth on June 21, 1985, which was an awesome show! Scorpions, Mountain, UFO, and Blackfoot were on the Bill. ..... And I went to Reading just once (one day), seeing Meatloaf, Starship, Uriah Heep, and Bonnie Tyler.
I also went just once to the Mildenhall Rock and Blues festival once, to see Rory Gallagher. Stan Webb's Chicken Shack. I am glad to have seen Rory Gallagher, I didn't know much about him but he was an incredible guitar player!

Eddie and the Hotrods (Reading). Awesome.
Zeppelin (Knebworth). Utter shit. (But at least I saw 'em I guess).
Regardless. #1 (and below) is the only correct length for non-girly hair.
