Good Insurance Companies
Looking for a good insurance company in the New England area. (Not State Farm as their rates keep changing / increasing during the quotation process.) Any recommendations please?

We currently rent and have had a good experience getting renters insurance via Wells Fargo. Not sure what they are like for home owners.
It may be cheapest if you get it bundled with car insurance.

We had Nationwide, still do, for our apartment and auto insurance in NY and a separate policy from them down here in Mississippi for the house and husband's auto and motorcycle insurance.
I had GEICO for over 45 years before switching over to Nationwide and only made the change because GEICO does not insure apartment rentals in the NYC area. Got a discount from Nationwide for having rental and auto.
I consider both companies good and GEICO top awards for customer service. Yes, I've had claims for both rental and auto over the years.

I would recommend getting some agents to quote for you - ours cut the premium we were paying by half.

another + for nationwide.
don't forget if you get all your policies (cars/house) together then you can look into getting an umbrella policy. Doing it this way, cut our premiums quite a bit but improved the coverage.

I like Amica for auto and homeowners insurance. They appear to offer coverage in most New England States.

Thanks for the info. Geico seem to be offering the best rates with Travelers insurance. Anyone had any experience with them please?

ME. Went with Geico as they were half the cost of State Farm.

Do you have any military links? If so USAA provide an excellent service.

When we lived in Maine, we saw Bouchard Insurance Agency, out in Searpsport who at the time for a new license got me a very good policy for $620 which went down to around $450 a year by the time we moved to MA and the same level of coverage jumped to $1500.
They got us on a smaller, local type company rather than a big name though.
