)Told my OH that once he gets his US citizenship, he should now say his nationality is African-American - cuz he was born in Africa...but I think that joke would only go over well in certain groups....he does get some strange looks when he tells people he lived in South Africa for 20 years.

I used that line with some A.American friends of mine and they nearly passed out from laughing when they first met me. Went to a party at their house a few months ago, only honkeys there. The rest of them were astonished that we were white - we told them we were born during the day.

I was asked about 1 month ago " what season is it in England now"? This was from a guy who had a Masters degree. God help us!
